Free to Breathe® Glastonbury 7th Annual Lung Cancer 5K Run/Walk & 1-Mile Walk September 15, 2013

Help
us double lung cancer survival! By participating and choosing to fundraise, you’re
helping us raise awareness and fund vital research programs dedicated to
doubling lung cancer survival by 2022.

Untimed Event
Participants in the 5K run/walk will
not be timed. The course will be approximately five kilometers, but has
not been officially measured.

Youth ages 7 and younger are free, however, to receive a T-shirt, participants of all ages must register and pay the fee.
Long-Sleeve T-Shirts
All online and mail-in registrants who attend are guaranteed an event long-sleeve T-shirt. A limited quantity of long-sleeve T-shirts will be available for those registering on event day.

The top three individual
fundraisers and top three fundraising teams (based on totals as of 5
p.m. on Sept. 12) will be acknowledged on event day. Fundraising will remain open through Oct. 30.
Additional Activities & Information
Participants will enjoy the Kids Zone, a silent auction and the music stylings of a local DJ.
A sneak peek at the great silent auction items is coming soon.
Bidding will start at 8:30 a.m. and continue until 10 a.m. Winners will be announced following the completion of the walk.
Children in strollers are welcome on the course, but please do not bring dogs.
Course Description
The 5K and 1-mile courses stretch through the Buttonball neighborhood. The terrain is mostly flat with a slight incline traveling back to the high school.
Parking
Parking is available in the Glastonbury High School lot.
Driving Directions/Map
From Route 2 East Take exit 7 (left fork) towards Route 17/Portland. Take a second left fork onto E. Glastonbury/New London Turnpike. Just before second traffic light, turn right onto the ramp and onto Hubbard Street. The school is on your left.
From Route 2 West Take exit 10 (Manchester) and turn left at stop sign. Turn right at next stop sign onto New London Turnpike. At the second traffic light, turn left onto Hubbard Street. The school is on your left.

advocacy organization founded by physicians and researchers working
together with survivors and advocates to increase lung cancer awareness
and research funding dedicated to doubling lung cancer survival by 2022.
