This is the 2nd Annual Free to Breathe® 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Walk in Jacksonville. The event provides an opportunity for lung cancer advocates, survivors and the community to come together to raise awareness and support to fight this disease. All proceeds from this event will benefit the National Lung Cancer Partnership’s research, education and awareness programs.

Registration Fees/Deadlines:
$20 Online (closes November 2, 2010)
$23 Mail-in (must be received by October 29, 2010)
$25 Event day on November 6, 2010

T-shirts are guaranteed to all pre-registered participants.  A limited quantity of t-shirts and goody bags will be available on event day while quantities last.

Course Description and Route:
The course runs parallel with the Atlantic along Ponte Vedra Blvd. Runners will begin and end at Mickler's Landing, following the route 1 1/2 miles north and back. The fully paved course is flat and straight and passes through a quiet scenic neighborhood with trees lining both sides of the road. A water stop will be available both out and back at the one mile mark.

Fundraising Information:
Each individual who raises $1,500 or more for National Lung Cancer Partnership will receive a fundraising incentive. Set up an online fundraising page and download pledge and donation forms here.

Awards:
Awards will be given to the top overall male and female finishers in the timed 5K run. Medals will be given to the top 3 male and female timed 5K finishers in the following age divisions: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, & 70+.
