Free to Breathe® Greensboro Lung Cancer 5K and 1 Mile Run/Walk & Rally November 10, 2012

We hope you will join us for the 5th Annual Free to Breathe Greensboro Lung Cancer 5K and 1 Mile Run/Walk & Rally! This event
provides an opportunity for lung cancer advocates, survivors and the
community to come together to raise awareness and support in the
movement to defeat lung cancer. All
proceeds will benefit the North Carolina Lung Cancer Partnership’s research,
education and awareness programs.

Event Schedule
7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. - Registration & check-in
8:00 a.m. - Survivors' breakfast 8:30 a.m. - Rally
9:00 a.m. - 1 mile run/walk begins 9:30 a.m. - 5K run/walk begins 10:30 a.m. - Kids' Dash (children ages 6 & under)
Speakers, awards, entertainment and music will follow the conclusion of the 5K.

T-Shirts
All online and mail-in registrants are guaranteed an event T-shirt. A limited quantity of T-shirts will be available for those registering on event day.
Survivor Registration
Registration is FREE for all lung cancer survivors when pre-registered. A registration form and signed waiver are required. Shirts can be picked up upon check-in at the survivors' tent.

Race Awards
Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers of the 5K and the top three overall male and female finishers in the following age divisions: 12 & under, 13-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70+. Registration as a competitive participant required for eligibility.

The top three individual
fundraisers and top three fundraising teams (based on totals as of 5
p.m. on Nov. 8) will be acknowledged on event day. Fundraising will remain open through Dec. 31.
Driving Directions/Map
From I-85 South/I-40 West, Burlington Take I-40 West to Greensboro; take exit 37 (old exit 125), South Elm-Eugene Street. Take a right at the light off of ramp onto South Elm-Eugene Street. South Elm-Eugene Street turns into Eugene Street in 1.6 miles. Eugene Street runs into NewBridge Bank Park in 1.2 miles on the corner of Eugene Street and Bellemeade Street.
From I-85 North, Charlotte Take I-85 North toward Greensboro; take the I-85 Bus. exit toward I-40 West. Slight right to remain on I-85 Bus. (Signs for US-70E/US-29N/I-85 Bus/Greensboro/I-40 W). Take exit 35B to merge onto US-220N. Continue on Freeman Mill Road, which turns into Edgeworth Street for about 3.25 miles. NewBridge Bank Park will be on your right hand side at the corner of Edgeworth Street and Bellemeade Street.
From I-40 East, Winston-Salem Take I-40 East toward Greensboro; take exit 212 for I-40 Bus. toward Greensboro/Bryan Blvd. Then take exit 218B for Freeman Mill Road, which turns into Edgeworth Street for about 3.25 miles. NewBridge Bank Park will be on your right hand side at the corner of Edgeworth Street and Bellemeade Street.
Highway 220 North, Asheboro
Highway 220 North to Greensboro turns into Freeman Mill Road; Stay on Freeman Mill Road. After crossing I-85, Freeman Mill Road will turn into Edgeworth Street; NewBridge Bank Park is located on the corner of Edgeworth and Bellemeade Street.
Highway 220 South, Virginia Highway 220 South will change in to Battleground Avenue in the city of Greensboro. After crossing Cornwalis, stay left on Battleground and continue straight. Battleground will become one way and turn into Smith Street. Take a right on Eugene Street, NewBridge Bank Park will located on your right.
