As all of you know, I started Race for Breath in 2004 after my mother passed away from Lung Cancer. My mom passed away in July and Kelly Burke Jennings and I organized the first Race for Breath in November. While my role in Race for Breath has changed over the years, my dedication to fighting lung cancer has not. Lung cancer is by far the leading cause of cancer death among both men and women. Each year, more people die of lung cancer than of colon, breast, and prostate cancers combined. Please consider donating any amount to help in the fight against lung cancer.
About my non-profit: Free to Breathe is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization dedicated to doubling lung cancer survival by 2022. We will accomplish this by:
• Funding research with the greatest potential to save lives • Helping all patients fully understand their treatment options • Ensuring molecular tumor testing is standard of care • Doubling the number of lung cancer patients on clinical trials
